Pre-Conference Workshop #1: Fundamentals of Alternative Investments–powered by CAIA Association

This workshop covers the fundamentals of alternative investments, including hedge funds and managed futures, commodities and real assets, private equity and venture capital, as well as structured products.  Each asset class is introduced individually, including the investment strategies, returns and risks, as well as the relationship to stock and bond markets.  Asset allocation models are presented, demonstrating how alternative investments can diversify and enhance the returns of a traditional investment portfolio.
