Keynote addresses by Lawrence Kudlow, talk show host and nationally syndicated columnist; Liz Ann Sonders, Chief Investment Strategist for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.; Jeff Rubin, Chief Economist and Chief Strategist for CIBC World Markets and well-known for his amazingly accurate market predictions; Kathy Pearson, adjunct associate professor at The Wharton School, who specializes in teaching critical thinking, scenario planning and strategic decision making; and Dr. Kevin Elko, well-known sports psychologist. Additional sessions focus on core/satellite investing, China and the global economy, the subprime crisis, and an update on the housing market.

Location and Distance
The Grand Hyatt New York is located at 109 East 42nd Street at Grand Central Terminal and is nine miles from LaGuardia, 18 miles southwest of JFK, and 20 miles west of Newark.

Weather and Attire
Attire for the conference is business casual. The average January temperature in New York is 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Nights cool down to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Please check the weather forecast before traveling.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations for conference registration must be received in writing. The registration fee less $50 cancellation fee will be refunded for cancellations postmarked or faxed by December 15, 2008. A 30 percent cancellation fee will be applied for cancellations received between December 16, 2008 and January 5, 2009. No refunds will be granted for cancellations received after January 5, 2009, or for nonattendance.

*Continuing Education Credits

  • CIMA®/CIMC® CE Credits—CIMA and CIMC designees will earn 11 hours of continuing education credit (including one hour of ethics credit) for attending the entire conference from Monday at 8 a.m. until Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.
  • CPWASM CE Credits—This conference is approved for CPWA continuing education credits.
  • CFP® CE Credits—CFP Board will accept this conference for continuing education credits.
