Certify Your Professionalism
Sophisticated trustees and investors recognize that the financial world’s increasing complexities call for the objectivity, experience, and ethical evaluation of an investment consultant and wealth advisor. Seeking the right professional is a challenge. Looking for one of IMCA’s credential holders makes the choice easier.

Since 1988, the Investment Management Consultants Association has been offering the Certified Investment Management AnalystSM  designation to experienced financial consultants who have successfully completed the rigorous CIMA program and met the other certification requirements. The Certified Investment Management Analyst is a professional who provides objective investment advice and guidance for both individuals and institutions. This professional integrates a complex body of investment knowledge and applies it systematically and ethically to specific client needs. The CIMA advisor applies state-of-the-art investment theory to assist clients in making prudent investment choices.

In 2007, IMCA extended its offerings to include the Chartered Private Wealth Advisor / CPWASM credential designed for those consultants who specialize in counseling high-net-worth clients, taking the professional past investments and into the area of estate planning, executive compensation, stock options, charitable planning, etc. The designation facilitates an advanced expertise in the life cycle of wealth: accumulating, preserving and protecting, and distributing.

Other designations supported by IMCA

CIMC—The Certified Investment Management Consultant was a self-study program offered originally by the Institute of Certified Investment Management Consultants.
