The Essentials of Investment Consulting program is designed for financial services professionals and their teams seeking to enhance their fundamental knowledge of core topics related to the investment consulting process. Comprised of two courses, the Investment Consulting Process and Math for Investment Consultants, this educational primer on investment consulting uses new study techniques and tools for an enhanced learning experience.

The program covers fundamental concepts and applications, including:  how to select managers, construct portfolios, investment types, manager selection, performance measurement, investment policies, and math for managing money for portfolio growth.

To complete the Essentials of Investment Consulting program, professionals must successfully complete both courses and successfully complete all of the quizzes. Modules include the following topics:

Continuing Education

The Investment Consulting Process provides ten hours of CIMA, CIMC, CPWA, and CFP continuing education (CE) credit; Math for Investment Consultants provides five hours of CIMA, CIMC, CPWA, and CFP CE credit. IMCA is registered with NASBA as a sponsor of continuing professional education. Please note that this is a certificate program and successful completion does not result in a professional designation or credential.
