The IMCA 2013 Winter Institute takes place December 9-10, 2013 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Scottsdale, AZ. The event focuses on alternative investment strategies, and the CAIA Association will create a portion of the content.

The conference is currently scheduled to begin at 8 am on Monday, December 9 and conclude around Noon on Tuesday, December 10. An optional post-conference workshop takes place on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 10. Schedule details are coming soon.

IMCA has reserved a block of rooms at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge, located at 5350 East Marriott Drive, Phoenix, AZ at the special group rate of $229 single/double per night.  To make your reservation, click here, or call the hotel at 800.835.6208 and reference the IMCA Winter Institute.  This special rate is available through November 8, 2013; however rooms at this rate are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so early reservations are recommended.

Conference attendees staying at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge will enjoy complimentary in-room internet.  The JW Marriott is also offering each guest who books a room in the IMCA block a $10 per room per night credit that may be used anywhere on the hotel property, including but not limited to food and beverage outlets, gift shop, golf, spa or valet parking. Please note this credit may not be used toward room and tax charges.

Cancellation/Transfer Policy
Cancellations for conference registration must be received in writing. The registration fee less $50 cancellation fee will be refunded for cancellations postmarked or faxed by November 14, 2013. A 30 percent cancellation fee will be applied for cancellations received between November 15 and December 2, 2013. No refunds will be granted for cancellations received after December 2, 2013, or for nonattendance.

 

CIMA®/CIMC®/CPWA® Marks. At this time, we anticipate that this program will provide between 10 and 12 hours of CIMA, CIMA and CPWA CE credit.  Once the program is finalized, the number of approved hours will be posted on this page. Individuals are responsible for reporting CE to IMCA.

CFP® certification. Information about approved sessions will be available on the CFP Board website. Individuals are responsible for submitting any necessary paperwork and/or fees to CFP Board.

NASBA CPE. IMCA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy as a sponsor of CE on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors (ID 106054). State boards of accountancy have final authority about the acceptance of individual courses. Individuals are responsible for submitting any necessary paperwork and/or fees to their state boards. Upon request, IMCA will provide a certificate of attendance after the conference.

Other certifications/designations. IMCA does not submit programs to state insurance departments and bar associations. Individuals are responsible for submitting any necessary paperwork and/or fees to their state boards. Upon request, IMCA will provide a certificate of attendance after the conference.
